I'm pleased to announce the updated version of the new release which is mainly due to the much requested downloadable translation feature. Also this release includes some fixes and a more user friendlier work flow. The user permissions section is also updated which is now a lot easier to use.

Feedback was great on prev release, easily passed the overall 100,000 downloads, we have more and more supporters on the forum and the downloadable translations are on the way. You can now even earn money with your jCore skills!

Translations

This release implements full translation capabilities, downloadable translations are already in works but don't be shy to commit your own, it's very easy, just download PoEdit and start translation the .po files from the English language package. Once done just let us know in the forum and after a short review it will be posted on the jCore site as downloadable translation.

Newsletters

jCore has now its own newsletters that are sent out on new releases and/or important news, all current users registered to jCore have been added to the newsletters (of course except those who have disabled the notification emails) and this list will be used in the future to send out notifications on new release instead of the old method. This will make a lot easer to subscribe to the latest news also to unsubscribe if you do not want to receive the emails but still be registered to post comments and/or to commit modules/templates/translations to jCore.

IRC

jCore has now his own irc channel too where you can ask questions and/or share ideas, I personally haven't been using irc since more than a few years but will join you guys in the future to chat around so don't hesitate to join the #jcore channel at irc.freenode.net to meet us in person :)

Thank you!

I also would like to thank everyone for the reports/ideas/suggestions/comments for this release! especially David (Endogen), Robert (robertmrsic), David (davidbrisebois) and Sebastian! Thanks guys for all your help/ideas, this release should be one of the bests ever!

The list of things to come for the next release is still open so if you have any ideas that you would like to have in 0.8 please let us know in the Forum -> jCore Ideas as we are eager to make jCore the CMS that fits most of the usual website needs by default!
