Custom Maintenance Page

Sun, 26 Jul 2009 10:48:10 BST by pijulius, 963 views

When maintenancing a page it is important to let people know what is going on, for this reason jCore comes with a custom maintenance page which activated will be shown to the users instead of the real website.

Custom maintenance text can be 1005 customized from the admin Global Settings area and once activated the site will power down and show that message instead of the real content so you can start modifying things without affecting the users or them you.

When Maintenance is activated (checked in the admin Global Settings) the administrators will be still available to access the admin area but users will only see the following text when accessing the site:

Site Under Maintenance

Site under maintenance: We are currently making enhancements and/or fixing issues. We appreciate your patience during this time, and encourage you to return here shortly.

Whit this feature you should be able to keep your users up to date on what's going on and don't let them in dark while you are working on the site which could even result in clients lost.
